CPR/First aid course May 2022

Levels of certification and cost:

Heartsaver (general CPR) - 1.5hrs online, 1.5hrs practical

Emergency first aid (with Heartsaver CPR) - 3hrs online, 3hrs practical

May 24; 4:30pm-7:30pm : online session

The CPR course will include:

- How to do CPR (compressions, ventilations, AED)

- How to use the BVM (according to level of certification)

- How to rescue someone from choking

- For adult, child, and infant victims

- One or two rescuers (according to level of certification)

The first aid portion will include:

- Secondary survey and assessment skills

- Anaphylaxis

- Asthma

- Bleeding control and wounds

- Immobilization techniques for fractures, sprains, strains

- Scenario practice
